A friendly suggestion: wait until an existing treasons thread is within 10 to 15 posts to completion before creating a new one. It can create a bit of confusion when the new one shows and the prior one hasn't reached near closure. That said, appreciate the OP(s?), keeping the discussions active.

Denial... uh no. I'm sorry you get confused when threads overlap, however, I don't think the majority of people do. Just because it gets crossed out doesn't make it "confusing." These threads always get crossed out, regardless if they're started right at the end of the previous thread or a couple dozen before it's finished.
The threads are always linked to the new and old anyway, so anyone with it in their favorites shouldn't have a difficult time finding it. We've managed 110 threads so far... we're just fine.

by Anonymous | reply 15 | June 23, 2019 8:48 PM |
He's in a no-win situation. The public humiliation of being in a high profile position he's ill-suited for, but if he's out, he's got no protection. And man, do I hope it's take a toll on his will to live.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | June 23, 2019 9:02 PM |
That's one of the reasons I believe he pulled away from striking Iran. If he goes full in and war starts, his life becomes hell. He will have endless meetings on the war status (which will bore him to tears because its not about him) and won't be able to golf every other day. War starts. Golf ends. The images of boys are coming home in flag draped coffins contrasted to him playing golf would be more than enough to guarantee that whomever the democrat nominates wins.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | June 23, 2019 10:13 PM |
It may have been the Senate Republicans who kept him in tow. He has no authority to declare war.

yeah it's pretty fucking pathetic of the media to largely ignore the latest sexual assault claim. I only saw her interviewed on Lawrence O'Donnell's and Joy Reid's shows. I understand it's not a shock anymore to hear that a woman has accused Trump of sexual misconduct but OMFG if this had been ANY OTHER PRESIDENT, this story would have dominated the fucking headlines all weekend. The fact that most outlets didn't even talk about it over the weekend was just sad.
I understand the Iran tension is a big deal and so is the detention camp disgrace but any time our leader faces such an accusation it should be a big headline too
I expect Trump to unleash yet another news grabbing mess on Tuesday-Wednesday-Thursday to take attention away from the Democratic debates

Here in Australia there is our version of Fox News, owned by, you guessed it, Rupert Murdoch. The worst of the worst "pundits" rage against anything reasonably humanistic. I was so relieved when I saw the doctor a few days ago and the sitting room tv was tuned to the ABC and not Sky News.

The detention camp disgrace is getting some coverage, but not really the level of the outrage is should be getting. Trump is trying to use it to extort what he wants and that kind of gets shrugged off.

Agree r43. Bernie speaks as if he his lecturing, such as a stern parent scolding naughty kids. And that wagging, pointing finger is far from endearing. Bern Bros may lap it up, but for others it is a turn-off. He never explains costs for the agenda he has yapped for over a quarter century.

Fox was also on in my dentist and doctor's office for a long time. Thankfully, both switched to HGTV.
Fox works because it is very effective in its lies and disinformation. I've never seen anything like it. After only a few minutes, I start almost believing their lies. Blatant lies. They are that good.
I hate when people say it is the equivalent with MSNBC. Former lies nonstop while the latter just has a perspective from the left but uses facts.

Kellyanne is receiving a very hefty salary with benefits on the government payroll, paid by taxpayers. She worked a bit, supposedly, on the addiction crisis, but most of her activities have been campaign related, and spreading propaganda for Trump.
She needs to lose this job. If the RNC and the Trump re-election chose to hire and pay her from political donations, that's their choice. She's broken the Hatch Act to an extreme.

I don't understand why Congress doesn't open an impeachment inquiry. They don't have to send it to the Senate until they want to, just continue with investigations labeled as such. Keep it out there that this orange thing is under investigation for a possible impeachment and isn't fit to be president. It's just horrible that the trump criminal cabal is able to continue to trash this country with impunity.
None of us knows how this will turn out but our democracy is slipping away quickly before our eyes. It makes me sick.

For R58
From the last thread - it bears repeating, perhaps in every thread going forward until September.
[quote]Something is wrong with some of you that you can't see that this entire slow leak of Democrats expressing their support for impeachment while Nancy holds onto the faucet handle is all completely planned. It's theater. She is the level-headed leader who doesn't want to be political and wants to follow all the rules who is keeping her hot-headed caucus in line. She's allowing the trickle of calls for impeachment and has planned it to reach its peak this Fall. At that point, when they start the impeachment proceedings, she can't be blamed for politicizing it because she fought for the exact rule of law to be followed and had to be brought to calling for impeachment by the overwhelming calls of her caucus. The time taken to get there will lend credence to the overall proceedings. —Anonymous reply 477

by Anonymous | reply 62 | June 24, 2019 5:45 PM |
R59 That's a political calculation that Nancy is employing - but at what cost? Sometimes you have to stand up and do the right thing for the moment and that moment is NOW. Kids are dying at the border, Trump is ready to start a war in Iran (how many will die in that war?), he's totally corrupt, incompetent and a rapist. The MOMENT says it is time to do the right thing NOW - not the political thing which could be months away and see thousand of people unnecessarily dead.
by Anonymous | reply 63 | June 24, 2019 6:55 PM |
Nancy is smart yes but I worry about the time crunch. Less than half of the House Dems have called for an impeachment inquiry. If they're going to start in the fall, a lot more than 2-3 per week will have to join the cause. Or will they mostly wait to announce until summer recess?

And you contend the only way to help them is to impeach Trump? That nothing can be done until he’s gone??

I am sick of hearing conservatives wail about the cost of any Dem candidates' proposals. The party who regularly explodes the deficit with not one policy that helps anyone except the rich.
At least Dems are talking about solutions. Where are the solutions from the GOP? There aren't any and that needs to be the response. The free market is not taking care of this. The free market is leaving people behind. FDR loved the free market and knew a good dose of "socialism" evens the playing field. The GOP thinks the rich will somehow, finally wake up and let their money trickle down.
by Anonymous | reply 70 | June 24, 2019 8:38 PM |
There’s that famous Judge Judy line: “You know how you can tell when a teenager’s lying? Her mouth is moving.”
The same can be said about Republicans.
That’s the access point.
“So today a Republican said...” then follow it up with proof to the contrary and then consistently close with, “That’s the __th falsehood told by a Republican this week.”
Let it become a go-to segment on every legit NEWS program, and end each week’s broadcast with a Greatest Hits montage of that past week’s deliberate Republican misdirection.
Call out every erroneous poll number, every deflection, every whataboutism, every blatant manipulation, every latent racist/homophobic/misogynistic thing they put out there in a clear, concise, measurable way so that the term REPUBLICAN becomes synonymous with DECEIT.

The only hang up to getting rid of Pence for Haley is loyalty. It is all but a done deal but he is uncertain she will be loyal like Pence. He is getting huge pressure from his staff. He seems to be waiting for poll numbers closer to the primaries for Dems. He is also waiting to see who is looking strong for the Dems. But loyalty from Pence may keep him on the ticket.

Haley would be a big gamble. Trump’s advisors might think that choosing her would help him recover some female voters, but that could easily backfire. He has awful chemistry with women; he’s bound to say or do something unpleasant. He might turn on her if he thought she was getting too much media attention.
by Anonymous | reply 90 | June 25, 2019 3:58 AM |
He hates women, but the women that like him have already absorbed that, and don't care. In fact, most are the kind of women that accept that they are inferior to men and just need to put up with what male assholes think. I think Haley might pick up a few points, but honestly not much. Same with people of color. She would be mildly interesting for a week or two, but in the end, same old white men should rule the universe shit. She wouldn't help much, but I could still see him doing it, just cause he's stupid and thinks that having a woman, especially a dark woman, would solve all his problems.
by Anonymous | reply 91 | June 25, 2019 4:03 AM |
r91 It is his attempt to pick up some squeamish center-right people. They believe she would balance the ticket. His staff are really big on her.
I doubt it will be couched as he dumps Pence. It would be Pence stepping aside to (fill in some hokey Christian stuff).
Again, the hitch is loyalty. Pence is very, very loyal. He values that above all so, in the end, he likely won't listen to his staff unless he gets spooked by poll numbers.

From the Examiner:
Former Trump aide Jason Miller leaves consulting firm after Jerry Nadler fat comments
Former Trump campaign aide Jason Miller parted ways with the consulting firm Teneo after comments he made on Twitter to Rep. Jerry Nadler.
“I have parted ways with Teneo by mutual consent and look forward to formally announcing my next move in the coming weeks,” Miller told the Daily Beast on Monday. “Teneo is an incredible firm and without a doubt the premier CEO consultancy on the planet. They have always been great to me and I’m proud to have called them teammates for the past two and a half years.”
Miller was a managing director at the consulting firm and his departure follows several days after a profanity-laced tirade against Nadler, the head of the House Judiciary Committee, calling him a "fat f---" and a "f------ scumbag."
Miller also said Nadler "should take a long walk off a short pier."
He deleted his Twitter account Friday.
The comments came after Nadler referred to Hope Hicks during a committee interview as "Ms. Lewandowski" before she corrected him. Nadler claimed the mistake was not intentional.
Miller worked on the Trump campaign before joining CNN as a commentator. Miller left the network after an accusation that he secretly slipped an abortion pill to a woman. He called the accusation "false and defamatory."

Trump's crazy, but he ain't crazy. Loyalty would definitely be a huge concern with Haley. She is outspoken and she pushes back. And the way she handled the Mother Emanuel Church shooting was an exemplar. he said all the right things and they were heart-felt in the way only a condescending, authentic, patronizing racist can feel. She was very Southern. She would be a good choice for Republicans, but a really bad choice for Trump. And while she is an incredible opportunist, I have to wonder if she is so put off and disgusted by his corruption she might back away from him. IMO her ambition would take precedence.

by Anonymous | reply 131 | June 25, 2019 6:47 PM |
No R129. The inaugural woman is Stephanie Winston Wolkoff, who was supposedly a "friend" of Melania, more likely an associate they latched onto. She worked on events like the Met Gala, and Trump hired her to run his inaugural. When she saw all the money that was being collected and funneled around, she went to Michael Cohen to complain and he got her on tape. The FBI got the tape, and now the whole scammy thing is under investigation by the SDNY. Among the falsified donation documents turned up so far is a $25K contribution in the name of Katherine Johnson, the 98 year old NASA math wiz who was portrayed in Hidden Figures, which lists her address as the NASA office in Virginia (not where she lives).
Wolkoff's firm was paid $26 million, out of which she paid herself something like $1.5 million. The rest went to pay off staff, contractors, caterers, hotels, etc., some at inflated prices. (Trump charged the inaugural $175,000 per day for use of his DC hotel space for instance.) She kept very good records of where the $26M went. Of the rest of the $107 million raised, however, a large chunk seems to have gone missing.
by Anonymous | reply 132 | June 25, 2019 6:54 PM |
r131 In a nutshell, that is the problem. CC has no morals or principles. What the hell does the GOP stand for except empty platitudes of "small govt" and "pro-military".
Look at the rape allegations-
-he has had 16 allegations against him
-he is on tape saying he assaults women, that being a star allows him that luxury and he can do whatever he wants to them. He demonstrated he just kisses them and grabs their genitals
-when confronted with these allegations his first response is to degrade them. "She's not my type". Oh, what type do you like to assault.
-his words and deeds, like a serial killer or rapist, is to always degrade. He degrades everyone. When you degrade, you don't see them as people so you can do what you want to them.
So, he has multiple allegations along with his actual words and deeds to demonstrate the capability, the likelihood, to assault. In fact, he has admitted assault in the tapes. What left is there to discuss? If only the Central Park Five case were as tight as it is against our Rapist in Chief.
Anyone who still supports him is complicit with this and all the other horrible things he will do because he has demonstrated his behavior will not change.
Yet it is no surprise they still support him. I will later share some interesting talk I've had over the years with DC Dems, past and present, about what the GOP has become and why they've become this party we see today and why they have to cheat to win. One open secret in DC that everyone, repug or Dem, know- the 2000 was stolen by the GOP. Everyone knows it. Everyone acknowledges it. Gore won. We know it and they know it.

3. For some reason Senate Majority Leader, Mitch (married to an Asian; letterman, Univ. of Louisville, cheerleading) McTurtle subjugates himself to Trump’s every whim.

Media needs to expose the contractors running these concentration camps. So far at least two are huge Republican donors, and another has ties to Betsy De Vos.
Also I can't understand why the media has not taken the Trump administration to court to gain access to the camps. The administration will argue they re protecting the kids, and it's an invasion of privacy, but the DHS people are not allowing elected officials inside either. So there needs to be a huge push back. I mean. WTF aren't they even allowing donated toothpaste and tooth brushes, blankets and other hygiene supplies? People have been turned away with some lame "We can't accept donations " bullshit.
R170, more and more, I'm convinced that Trump is the Clown distraction and the Republicans are no different from him. They are all on the same page and this crowd is in the process of a coup. Bill Maher called it two years ago: A slow rolling coup. The Extreme Right is taking over our government, ignoring the Constitution, manipulating the Law, and breaking all the rules.
It is deliberate and we are in the early stages but this thing is picking up speed. When the Dems tell us we have to turn out in overwhelming numbers they are deadly serious. Numbers like we have never seen. We have to be out in the streets and we need to actually appeal to the UN to insist our elections be monitored. We can't be spectators.

I disagree with the “political theater” theory of Pelosi and Dems. She is absolutely stalling and trying to run out the clock. Pelosi is a huge believer in a) elections have consequences, and b) resolve problems at the ballot box. Time will tell soon enough if I’m wrong.
I’m not saying I’m happy about her strategy, but it is indeed a valid position. The only thing that would move Nancy is either an overwhelming push in her caucus or her first choice — an overwhelming push from the public to impeach. Unless and until she sees that she will *not* begin impeachment because she actually tries to be the voice of the People. The majority within the People have not, NOT, called for impeachment. *We* want it, many many people want it, but not anywhere near a majority. Yet.....
I want him impeached. But I actually believe she’s doing the right thing and will change course if these variables change as described above. The number one thing we can do is get every single person we know to VOTE. How do you convince someone to vote? Build trust. Nothing matters more than trust. If the people in your life see you consistently checking on them, listening to them, showing you care, they will trust you more later on when you tell them our democracy depends on THEM. Don’t even talk about voting with them right now. Build trust, build trust, build trust. When election time comes, that’s when you hit them with voting.
Having said all that, all these mother fuckers in TrumpWorld should be locked up then executed. I can dream, no? Yes, Bill Maher has it right on naming what has happened — a slow motion coup it is. Getting my coffee.

Vox's Aaron Rupar watched Trump's a.m. interview with Maria Bartiromo so you don't have to. Lowlights include:
Bartiromo can't get a question in as Trump rants about how much members of Congress like him.
"Europe treats us worse than China. Europe is -- you know, look, I come from Europe ... European nations were set up to take advantage of the United States."
After spending roughly 30 minutes attacking China, Trump now says Vietnam is "almost the single worst abuser of everybody" and indicates he's considering tariffs on Vietnamese goods as well.
"Look, we should be suing Google and Facebook and all that, which, perhaps we will."
Trump is yelling into the phone about how Mueller "terminated the emails ... he terminated them. They're gone. And that's illegal. That's a crime." Bartiromo pretends to know what he's talking about and tries to ask a question. Trump just keeps ranting over her.

Sarah Huckabee Sanders was never particularly a big fish, in terms of major policy determinations, in DJT's slimy pond. She sustained herself by being nasty to WH reporters, telling lies for Trump, and along with Kellyanne, delivering a bunch of bullshit propaganda. Kellyanne is a Senior Adviser, thus has a significant input for certain policies. Her violations of the Hatch Act, certainly warrants that she needs to go, and she should have been terminated long ago.

He was actually correct by Garrett Haake saying the GOP doesn't care about fiscal conservatism either
He is such a fucking dumbass. Fiscal conservatism is NOT the same as fiscal responsibility.
Fiscal conservatism= No SS, no Medicare, no Medicare, huge tax cuts for the rich, no regulations, no safety net.
Dems are the only party who have consistently paid for their policies and reduced the deficit. They are fiscally liberal but fiscally responsible.
The last 4 GOP presidents, including our current one, have seen the deficits explode due to their policies. They are fiscally conservative and fiscally irresponsible.

Except it didn't. After two-party politics returned to the south the only two democrats elected president for half a century were southern governors. And democrats held at least parity until the regional wipeout during the second Clinton administration.

The tarrifs seemed to be having a positive impact, too - at least big businesses were whining about them, which is usually a good sign.
It's the ONLY thing he has done as President that I agree with, and it's the only thing that isn't just the same Republican evil x2000 like the rest of his policies and what's going on in the Executive branch departments.

NYT: Trump and R.N.C. Raised $105 Million in 2nd Quarter, Outdoing Obama
The president’s campaign manager, Brad Parscale, called it a “massive fund-raising success” based on enthusiasm for Mr. Trump’s record, which he said no Democratic candidate could match.
Ronna McDaniel, the chairwoman of the R.N.C., said the fund-raising allowed the committee to “identify troves of new supporters online and continue investing in our unprecedented field program.”
For a president who values large numbers and has told aides that he wants record-breaking fund-raising reports, the figures are expected to be particularly rewarding.

Per Smellyanne:
"I have a whole list here of anchors and people on TV and Democrats who said it was a manufactured crisis, who now dropped the word 'manufactured,' and are calling what they see at the border, a crisis," she said.
"Chuck Schumer wants to talk about photo-ops? I saw one yesterday and it's called Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, going down to one of these facilities and making this outrageous claim that a woman is drinking from a toilet — which everybody who has control over that facility ... has said that is not true," Conway continued.
Conway said that when Ocasio-Cortez was challenged by a reporter on whether she actually saw someone drink from the toilet, "she put the window up" in her vehicle.
"People need to challenge this because she's one of 95 people, Democrats, who voted against the aid package. You either want the humanitarian aid, the $4.6 billion to go and help, or you want the photo-op."

have to say watching Ari Melber's show yesterday as he talked with former federal prosecutor John Flannery, I'm a bit pessimistic on how great Mueller's testimony will be. They don't believe he'll answer anything hypothetical such as "would you have indicted Trump without the OLC guideline? and they were saying Democrats have to be careful not to ask a lot of questions he can't answer or can be vague about

The corruption involving Elaine Chao appears immense. Her family's shipping business has greatly profited from her initiatives. Mitch McConnell is tied to all of it, including government funds being diverted to projects in Kentucky.
This is a major scandal that the media, Congress, and investigative agencies, appear to be subdued in addressing.
Their scale of corruption may exceed all the others going on.

the real question will what will white Gen X and Millennials do as they age? Will they eventually start watching Fox too? or will Fox will off when the white Baby Boomers do? I have a feeling Fox will start modifying their programming to adapt to white Gen X/Millennial tastes.
Their whole game plan seems to be to keep faking it now during the Trump admin and then act like nothing wrong or weird happened when his era is over

Whistleblowers from within President Donald Trump's National Security Council have told a congressional committee that efforts by former national security adviser Michael Flynn to transfer sensitive nuclear technology to Saudi Arabia may have violated the law, and investigators fear Trump is still considering it, according to a new report obtained by NBC News.
Career national security officials objected to the plan, citing what they deemed Flynn's conflict of interest, and also that the proposal sought to bypass a policy review that is required whenever nuclear technology is transferred to another country, the report says.
The proposal, which involved enlisting the U.S. nuclear power industry to build nuclear plants across the Middle East, was backed by a group of retired generals who formed a firm called IP3. Flynn described himself in financial disclosure filings as an "advisor" to a subsidiary of IP3, IronBridge Group Inc., from June 2016 to December 2016 — at the same time he was serving as Trump's national security adviser during the presidential campaign and the presidential transition, the report says.
The report quotes one senior Trump official as saying that the proposal was "not a business plan," but rather "a scheme for these generals to make some money," and added, "OK, you know we cannot do this."
"The whistleblowers who came forward have expressed significant concerns about the potential procedural and legal violations connected with rushing through a plan to transfer nuclear technology to Saudi Arabia," the report says.
"They have warned of conflicts of interest among top White House advisers that could implicate federal criminal statutes. They have also warned about a working environment inside the White House marked by chaos, dysfunction, and backbiting."

And that the turnout will be the highest turnout ever recorded since we've been voting? He hates to lose. Will he have his people incite a riot so he can declare an emergency, suspend the Constitution, and institute martial law? Is this military show on the 4th of July a test run? A preview of next year? Trump is terrified of prison. He is terrified of the possibility of being charged with crimes. He knows he is a criminal and that the Presidency is the only protection he has. He is hoping to run out the statute of limitations on some of that stuff. So I don't see him "retiring" in 2020 rather than losing. I see him doing whatever it takes to stay in the White House. Unless he can be iron clad assured of a pardon, and he can negotiate a deal with New York, and Virginia, on state charges, he will not let go. Now Barr's expertise in negotiating may come in handy. How ironic if he were able to negotiate Trump's departure!

obviously there's no question that Mueller is infinitely smarter than Jordan (to be fair most people are) but it all depends on how he answers questions. We've seen from Mueller's 10 minute statement that he doesn't give a lot of straightforward answers.

In 2017, President Trump gave private prison contractors billions to run immigration detention centers. Among these contractors are corporate Trump supporters CoreCivic and GEO.
CoreCivic gave $250,000 to Trump's inauguration. GEO gave $475,000 to Trump's campaign and inauguration. In 2017, GEO held their annual conference at Trump National Doral Golf Club in Miami.

That might not be much for you but every little cent counts in kickbacks for greedy Donald Trump. The type of person that would take pennies off a dead man's eyes lying in a casket. Just to get something out of going to a funeral where he's not the center of attention.
However, that just the figures we know when it comes to detention centers. Perhaps, besides his taxes, Congress might want to look at Trump's stock portfolio to see how much he's really making.
In FY2017, GEO's stock price rose 63 percent; CoreCivic's stock price rose 81 percent. While, President Donald Trump told DHS to catch and hold tens of thousands more immigrant detainees.

According to Trump, whatever reliability one may give it, the Pence flight cancellation to New Hampshire pertained somehow to the site location where Pence was to give a speech.
Why this will not be explained for a couple of weeks is puzzling. Perhaps there was some kind of threat and an investigation is underway. Even if something like that is true, it is still perplexing.
by Anonymous | reply 535 | July 6, 2019 7:06 PM |
Isn't it a coincidence that New Hampshire is one of the first stops on the Presidential campaign trail. Now, Donald Trump says he wants 4 more years (2020), and 4 more years (2024), and 4 more years (2028). Not so much for the JOB of President, but for the TITLE of President.
And, for the money train of donations that keeps rolling into the campaign. As, long as its name is Trump. In other words Trump is not about to let the money train stop at the Mike Pence Depot. So, look for Trump 2020 (Donald), Trump 2024 (Ivanka), and Trump 2028 (Ivanka) to keep rolling on.
So, perhaps, what a better way to start than to groom his little girl as VP in 2020. After all, it worked for George Wallace when his wife (puppet) became governor in 1966.

There is no end to Trump's crimes, yet no one can lay a finger on him. Seems weird to me.
by Anonymous | reply 544 | July 7, 2019 5:00 AM |
He is a sitting president and his crimes are hidden in Grand Jury testimony.

It's looking like it's going to take divine intervention to stop these monsters because no one else seems to be able to do it.

if you read this article then read the comments you will wonder how we have all survived together in this country. These Trumpers are as delusional as Trump and far crazier than I realized. You know that a lot of them will Never see the truth and absolutely worship the ground Trump walks on. I'm sure some are bots that just egg them on but still.................

Wouldn’t any revelations about Trump’s involvement with Epstein cause Mark Burnett (and his religious wife Roma) to finally turn against him?
by Anonymous | reply 552 | July 7, 2019 12:55 PM |
Something about this stinks. I want Epstein burned and I want all the dirt to come out because I just KNOW Trump is directly implicated. But I have to curb my enthusiasm because this is the FBI and the SDNY Feds going after Epstein. And you know Barr has to be completely aware of what's going down. Barr. So I don't trust it.
Of course there are people on Twitter who are saying that if Democrats are involved we want them to face the consequences....which is the direct opposite of what the Republicans would do to their guys. I just feel uneasy. Bill Clinton and Hillary Clinton have been smeared and shit on for years.
Trump is relentless. He thinks he get mileage within his base for attacking, and trying to humiliate Hillary. Bill was promiscuous. He loved the ladies. We know. But in all these years I don't recall anyone accusing him of forcibly raping a 13 yr. old, nor has he ever been accused of Trafficking.
So even though the Republican smear machine is going into high gear, I'm not on board with going after the Clintons. If this is their strategy I want them crucified.Trump projects a lot. So whatever he throws out here I hope it splashes on him too

Just asking if someone smarter than me could please connect these dots:
Isn't it coincidental that in the same week, President Trump tweeted that the NY Gov was sending the NY AG out to bludgeon him. His Homeland Security watchdog made a report of immigrant overcrowding in detention centers with pictures. Justin Amash left the GOP. Trump's 4th of July was awash. And, pedo Jeffrey Epstein was arrested in NY.
Now, there will always be outsiders (his base aka the gullible and the stupid) that will support Trump. And, unfortunately, the GOP Congress and Trump's Cabinet are as dirty as he. But it seems that more and more insiders are as sick of him as we are (IC of Trump's insults and threats, Military of no raise and no competence, States of no help) that want that prick out.

Wouldn't it be amazing if Pelosi knew all of this was coming and that it was all going to end at Trump and that's why they had to hold off on impeachment? Let's watch the Repugs in Congress vote to not remove a child sex trafficking asshole who rapes 13 year olds when that is charge number one on the impeachment crime list.

...wait for it...
44%.
by Anonymous | reply 574 | July 8, 2019 1:57 AM |
It’s infuriating, r574. The press played it as a comeback number. Look! He’s at his highest ever! It’s piss-poor—it should be the lowest number.
by Anonymous | reply 575 | July 8, 2019 2:02 AM |
Yeah, I was depressed until I heard that number, then I started giggling like a schoolgirl.
Highest approval ratings for comparison.
Obama: 69%
GW Bush; 90%(!)
Clinton: 73%
Poppy Bush: 89%
Reagan: 71%

Pence doesn't dine with ladies because he has no tolerance for fraus. The only good frau is "Mother" and you know that nobody touches their moms.
My apologies to women for the use of the word frau. It's used in the context of loony episodes DL disparagement.

Yeah, if you think the rethugs will do anything about the pedos, you're delusional.
They will wring their hands, clutch their pearls and be "concerned". But they won't do anything to stop it or condemn it or even vote to impeach the guilty fuckers.
Because they are the scum of the Earth like that
by Anonymous | reply 584 | July 8, 2019 2:28 AM |
Trump’s approval rating has “soared” to a point and a half above where it usually is.

r582 I've never left. I just don't tag myself often. I post every day.
I don't have anything at the moment. A lot of my friends are working on campaigns. I may join one once the field is significantly narrowed. I am supposed to travel to DC by the end of July if everyone can get together. I will surely let you guys know if I get any good insider information.
by Anonymous | reply 586 | July 8, 2019 2:30 AM |
R584 Of course the ReTHUGS won't do anything about pedos. Especially, since these ReTHUGS are pedos themselves.
R586 Thank you FCI.

That's not quite the story. After the dem debates he now has the highest ratings of his presidency from the ABC/Washington Post poll, 47%. The prior ABC/WP poll before this was 42, and 38 before that in January.
Overall Trump RCP average currently is 45. Looking at the RCP database Obama third year average approval was 46.5.
